Pros

Everyone has been great! Most people have been here for over 10 years or more which is a good sign. I’ve seen people retire here in my short time. That speaks volumes. The pay has been greatly improved in comparison to prior system. The flexibility I have in a hybrid position is worth it’s weight in gold.

Cons

Department is very lean in comparison to work load however plans are in motion to bring the department to par

Pros

Money Insurance Good Boss Good coworkers Enjoyed orientation

Cons

During the orientation, they tell employees that their health is important. As health professionals, our health has to be good so we can take care of our patients and make their health better. However, Methodist Health System makes it extremely hard for an employee if they don’t have enough PTO to be able to get the help they need. So say you don’t have enough PTO but you need a doctors appointment that you have to go to. You’re gonna get a write up and those write ups eventually turn into termination. So where is the grace in the health system? Methodist would be a wonderful place to work if they truly understood their employees are human. I had someone pass away and I couldn’t even go to their funeral because I didn’t have the PTO and couldn’t afford to get a write up. I would’ve loved to have been able to go to my uncle’s funeral. Did anyone care know all you get is sorry for your loss, but you don’t have enough PTO…. So crappy. You’re BEYOND REPLACEABLE and they make sure you know it.
