Pros

Working for Methodist has been such an honor and privilege. I love the quality of care, the leadership but most of all I love the feeling that you are part of a family. I love the kindness and respect given and received. The quality of care, compassion and commitment of the staff, the leaders and everyone here is amazing.

Cons

I don't have many Cons. I guess working in healthcare the con would be you work in a high risk environment since COVID started, but I feel like any place Methodist is trying hard to keep their employees safe.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them. We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed. Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
