Pros

In a office/clinic setting communication is very exceptional with the front desk, medical assistances, echo techs, management and docs. It was very easy to coordinate imaging procedures to ensure a seamless flow for the patient. Management was open to get what was need for patient care as long as it was within reason (or budget). There's an annual bonus for staff members compared to other health systems.

Cons

It's like any other job... Have bad days or good days. Just how to roll with it.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
