Pros

Very good company to work for, great people, strong management and a CEO that really cares about his employees. Amazing benefits, including travel benefits and 401K employer contributions.

Cons

I have been with the company for 9 years and I am a female with a management position. I really hate to read the reviews saying this company discriminates against women. I can confirm that is a lie. I started at the bottom and worked my way up. Hard work and dedication is what will get you promoted at this company not your gender. Anyone slightly interested in working for this company should go to the interview, meet the CEO and Executive team then make your decision. Don't believe what others say, find out for yourself. ***Take note to all of the negative reviews coming from FORMER EMPLOYEES...*** they are a former employee for a reason.

Pros

Travel Benefits, 401K, Insurance, some good people.

Cons

There are honestly more downsides to working for this company than I care to catalog. The con to one of my pros - you get travel benefits, but good luck using them! If you would like to go to the beach in the winter this would be a great benefit for you. Trying to get a vacation in the summer is difficult as the travel season (May through September) turns the entire enterprise into disorganized chaos. As mentioned in other reviews (and by people more eloquent than myself), the environment is very toxic. Employees who could actually make a change are fired and the ones that cause multiple problems are praised. Although, as a female, I do not believe that there is anything sexist in play. Policies are only adhered to when it is convenient to management. There have been numerous cases where two employees have done the same thing and only one has been fired for it. This company knows that they have bad ratings across job sites and have been asking employees to leave good reviews. Take everything you read with a grain of salt because you never know if a former employee is disgruntled or a current employee has been asked to leave a good review.

Thank you for your insight, and just being completely transparent – we do invite employees and guests who have had a good experience to share it with others – in any format/ or any website they feel comfortable with. We are proud of our company and our employees, and we want to recruit even more awesome people to join our team. Our travel benefits are a distinctive perk, and we love getting to hear about lots of memorable trips, as our employees have open access to our availability, just as our guests do. If you need help booking travel, HR can help. I would very much like to talk with you about your comments regarding the disparity in applying policies consistently and to gain a better understanding of the specific instances to which you are referring. HR is ready to investigate and address any issues that might come to light. With the off season upon us, we are taking your advice to review our past season performance and identify trends and proactively address to improve next season’s performance. I would welcome your insights into where we can make changes that improve both our guest experience and our employees’ work life. Please reach out to me at hr@metacoastal.com.
