Pros

-The company is growing extremely quickly. Revenues were up 110% last year and I really feel like I am part of building something very strong. -Great work/life balance. -Really good co-workers- they are by far the smartest group of people I have ever worked with. -True collaboration- I don't feel like anyone's keeping score. Co-workers just pitch in to help wherever and whenever they can. -Great product! It's so much easier to sell, market, develop, etc. when the product is very strong. -I've learned a lot in a short amount of time. -They have a highly effective hiring process.

Cons

There is an "old" way of doing things at Merrick and there is the "new" way of doing things at Merrick. It's tough when you're getting (conflicting) instructions.

Pros

Is amazing to be part of such a fast-growing company where co-workers and managers make you feel like family from day one. I've enjoyed my time at Merrick a lot and I'm looking forward to growing my professional career along this great group of people.

Cons

The company has been going through a lot of changes in the past year, and change is hard on everyone, so that's a con, but I believe these are all for the best.

Pros

The employees at Merrick are just lovely and ARE a family, but they have to be to survive. Merrick is being taken over by a Norwegian company, which will be a pro when they squeeze the heathen out.

Cons

The owner and Ex-CEO is a narcissistic, angry woman who micromanages and enjoys finding errors in employee's (and client's) work and harping upon it. This is not said mildly at all. She spends all day, waking and sleeping hours, finding short falls in anyone and everyone in her life. I went into the job knowing this and it was still too much for any human being to stand. There are not words to fully describe this demon of a human being.
