The families and students are wonderful. There is leadership with integrity and honesty.

I wish the salaries for the teachers were higher.

The students are teachable and polite. The classrooms and hallways are spacious and well-lit. There are multiple activities to keep the students engaged and feeling successful.

The school does not have their act together around diversity. Initiatives in the last few years brought more students of color within the infrastructure to help them feel supported and included. As a result, there has been tremendous unrest and dissatisfaction, anonymous racist comments on social media, and reactive and confused students and families. They have underhanded and unprofessional hiring and firing policies. There has been high turnover in leadership and faculty in the last 10 years, so they have lost good community members who were helping develop the students in a positive direction. There is nothing worse than leadership that is both insecure and inexperienced--a very dangerous combo.
