Pros
Superior technology to offer many industries. Domestic and International opportunities for project work. Previous management let employees excel in their skill set and gave the impression that career development was a possibility. People were mostly happy in the work environment pre-2006 abeit for a couple upper level persons who's behavior was toxic to the division. Salary was good but could have been a bit higher. Vacation time was more than sufficient for years of work experience.
Cons
Arrogant and incompetent new managers that came from a nearby company are driving the quality people away and continue to fill spaces with other "down-the-street" employees. Employees who show drive and initiative are shot down (and not in a polite way - done in condescending and disrespectful ways). Managers don't listen to either employees or potential customers - losing jobs that were ours for the taking. When the leading technology loses a job to a competitor that has no experience in that industry (while Merichem had that experience), that is a wake-up call - however management turned a blind eye to it and blamed the engineers and sales people.
