Catholic Hospital run like a factory to maximize executive bonuses, but structured like a church to avoid paying taxes. - Patient Care Associate Mercy Employee Review

Pros

Impressive Critical Care units. Competent Physicians. Tuition Reimbursement. Co-workers are okay, same as anywhere else.

Cons

The administration is completely out of touch with the clinical staff. Supplies/Staffing budget cuts coincide with demands for better patient care/satisfaction (upon which annual raises are based). Employee "benefits" package is gutted by administration citing economic downturn, while top-level executive compensation packages skyrocket.
