Pros
There are plenty of career advancement opportunities, and switching career tracks is encouraged. Mangement advocates cross-training employees, which then results in a well-rounded skill set. Especially in recent years, both low-performers and high-performers are recognized and handled accordingly. This means that the vast majority of your team members are extremely competent and knowledgeable, and you have the opportunity to interface and learn with some of the best.
Cons
The majority of the day-to-day policies are "up to your manager's discretion", meaning if you have a good manager, work/life balance and ability to take vacation or personal days are great. If you do not have a good manager, you are out of luck.
