My Experience at Merchem - Assistant Manager, Production Merchem Employee Review

Sorry to say that this company is not financially sound. It has been struggling to pay employee salaries and statutory payments like Tds, income tax, pf etc. Check for DGFT site for seeing export defaulters list, you can find its name. Another thing raw material suppliers also filed some cases against this firm for non payment of their long pending dues. But firm simply shows that they are a well performing company. They attract employees working with other well reputed organisations by offering handsome salaries but a person worked with professional company can never be with this firm for more than six months to a year. Very bad atmosphere and bad culture will not allow you to continue more than short span. This is my personel experience and one may enquire to know more about this firm and i am sure feed back will be worse than this.

Never expect a career growth. Everything is just show off. Cash crunch

If not getting salary for 9 months is a pros then Merchem employees can write that down in this section. Also if sitting in the dark without electricity and water because company doesnt have money to pay Electricity bill and Water bill is a pros, Merchem employess are the luckiest. My humble request to all engineers out there PLEASE DONT COME HERE AND WASTE YOUR LIFE. If you think sitting at home without job is a big problem or if you think your salary is less where you work now is a serious issue, you will know what exactly are serious problems and difficulties if you join Merchem. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELFS.

1. Worst HR. Company doesnt give us our salaries and when we try to resign they hold our relieve letter and torture us. More than 3 people have resigned by giving police complaint in the last 1 year. When we ask HR he says we have to get his permission and go for interviews. Devils reincarnated on earth. 2. Hires young and bright engineers from good companies by offering good salaries. But after the interview and appointment the real face of Merchem emerges. No salary and no work. Just sitting in plant and killing mosquitoes. 3. Most of the people in the top management are uneducated and doesnt know anything about how to run a factory or an organisation. Many bright and good engineers have left. Even freshers who came to work because they were sitting at home without work for more than a year has left. They say better than this is sitting at home. 4. There are engineers who are trapped here without increment and promotion for the last 5 years . Now for the last one year we dont have salary also.
