Pros
No Overtime. Clean air because there are few jobs.
Cons
No opportunity to advance and learn technology newer than VSAM and COBOL. Merced County is self insured. Medical insurance only covers local surgeons so complex surgeries not available in the Central Valley and you are left to suffer terrible back pain due to herniated discs for example.
