Pros

Great training and resume builder especially if it's your first job out of college! As an Inventory Analyst, you learn about purchasing, forecasting, logistics, project management, and a lot more. Menard's gives a lot of control over your categories and lets you make the decisions. Most of the Menard's GO team members are nice. They also have profit sharing if you work more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year. It starts at 2.5% and increases by 2.5% per year up to 15%.

Cons

Long hours (48 hours a week), pay, benefits, and vacation (some details below). As of 2019 Analysts start out at about $17.00 an hour and only receive two $0.10 raises a year (cap out at about $18.50/hr). Sometimes you get a bonus increase but bonuses are paid out the following year. You will make about $45k in your first year, and 58K in year two. There's also an employee finding system so if you don't make the "company goals" (which you have no control over) you lose a portion of your bonus. The fining system also extends to "unpaid days off" so if you go over your vacation days for whatever reason (sick, have a baby, funeral, etc) you will be fined about $45 a day. The environment/company culture is stressful. You're expected to be at work rain, shine, or in a blizzard. Team Members don't receive any sick days so they're always coming in stick and it spreads around like wildfire. You're required to travel to a store 4 weekdays, 4 weekends, and one overnight per year. The onsite cafeteria (Wolf River) is a total ripoff. It literally costs more for a team member to buy something at Wolf River than it costs a guest to buy it at the store. It's basically like an overpriced gas station. Benefits: Healthcare for a family: - Plan A: $850/mo, $3,500 deductible, $11,800 max out of pocket - Plan B: $650/mo, $11,800 deductible, $11,300 max out of pocket - Plac C: $450/mo, $5,900 per person deductible, $11,800 per person max Dental Insurance: $25/mo, $50 per person deductable, $750 benefit max 401K Match: ZERO! Vacation: 10 days (this is also your sick leave), maxes out at 20 days after about 5 years.

Pros

Friendly place of work. Decent pay once in management. Flexible schedule. Bonuses.

Cons

No real incentives other than promoting into a role where you will be stretched too thin, under-appreciated and stuck with lacking leadership.
