Pros
Most fellow employees, and some store level managers are ok to work with, instant profit sharing, extra $2.50 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays, flexible scheduling, nearly unlimited hours if you want them, due to being sorely understaffed
Cons
Severe understaffing due to wages being not nearly as competitive as they used to be. This has turned the hiring process into a revolving door, or results in subpar help. More incoming freight than can be feasibly handled, which results in a cluttered, messy store. Slow, outdated computer equipment and infrastructure. Managers sometimes work 70 hours per week or more if the store is short on help. No 401k match. Raises are a paltry $.10 per hour, and can only be obtained by passing a competency test. Expensive health insurance with shoddy coverage.
