Pros

Lots of departments are full of good people. Easy to make friends with. The work is enjoyable. The mission is great. It is a company worth believing in. Individuals ruined the great experience for me that led to my resignation. They have lots of good internships, but they don't pick call center people for them.

Cons

Some people are bad enough to ruin an entire department. Condescending, conceited, sexist recruiter who will go the extra mile for a female. They play favorites. They seem to give jobs to incapable people because of their personalities. I've seen people get promoted despite making lots of mistakes. The HR department has been a disaster to deal with. They are never in office and nobody knows how they spend their days. In every department, there is a lack of accountability and an excess of wasted time. They talk a good game but don't follow through or change behaviors based on performance data. If they decide they don't like you, you have no future there. Some leaders are unapproachable. Some leaders think you have to treat people horribly and be picky in order to be a leader. They don't look for internal talent as much as they could.

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
