Fairly simple work for ok pay. Memorize product specs and engage members. Work is flexible and fun. WDS staff is great to work with. Check in system is quick and efficient.

Often very little notice. Sometimes you put in for a date and don't hear back unless you are booked. Sometimes they don't tell you when you are booked for weeks. A lot of paperwork for what you do, which must be faxed in to what must be a very old fax system, since the line is often busy for a long time. Pay is often not on time and the checks do not note what dates pay is for, only when it was sent. Sometimes several people are booked for the same gig and someone has to go home. WDS managers consider having us in working an imposition. Often they don't know we are coming, sometimes there are no samples or demo materials.

Pay is good. Job is simple. Schedule is flexible, mostly weekends and you can always say no to a shift that won't fit for you. OK gig for a collage student or stay at home parent who wants some pocket money and doesn't really care when it comes.

Pay often won't come on time and if you give notice be sure to collect all your checks first. A co-worker never got her last 2 days pay after she gave 30 days notice. Owner will not return e-mails or texts or calls if you are looking for a missing check, it can be a huge hassle to collect. No bonus or even thanks for referring new staff. Will not give references. You may not get notice that you have been booked until the last minute.
