Salary and benefits are alright. Colleagues are friendly too.

You will wear multiple hats that are outside your jobscope. Understandable that in this industry, it is normal to wear another extra two or three hats. But here, it feels that you are taking on everything: for creatives you will be the storyboarder, graphic designer, producer, videographer, art director, video editor, graphic designer/illustrator, motion graphic designer, and even the talent. It is serious that management should really look into this as these are all separate roles, not a one-man job. You may think that these experiences would help to grow one's skillsets more efficiently, but the worst part is that no one would be there to do a proper induction or guidance to help you familiarise with the work structure and accounts. You would be thrown there to figure things out on your own and fend for yourself, so you wouldn't know what you are doing right or wrong. This doesn't grow one as a creative, but instead shows them the worst sides of being in marketing which unfortunately this company has to offer. Clients' unrealistic expectations are always accepted and normalised. No one would stand up for the creatives so they would bite the bullet to churn out last minute visuals within less than a day. In my experience in marketing, the account managers or other leaders should at least compromise a realistic deadline instead of being "yes" men.

When I first joined as a content producer there were some seniors who made things quite toxic, honestly it was stressful. The good thing is management actually stepped in fast and handled it and those people left not long after. After that the environment became much better, the team was supportive and easier to work with. Work can still be busy and deadlines tight, but at least you don’t feel dragged down by bad vibes.

Work can get busy and deadlines come fast, but it does push you to be sharper with time management and handling multiple projects. Benefits are solid too, with flexi benefits, medical, insurance and OILs if you put in extra hours. WFH helps as well. Overall not perfect but it’s a good place if you want to learn and build up your skills.
