Pros

~My workers were absolutely amazing. I liked going to work every day because of them. ~The Holiday Party is fun, but I would rather not have a holiday party if it means I get paid more instead.

Cons

~The pay is only $15 an hour. They also promise commission. Here's the issue though, depending on location, you may get commission or you may not. For example Coon Rapids commission is terrible versus Woodbury is a lot better. 15 an hour is not a living wage here in Minneapolis, and it saddens me that this company doesn't pay a living wage for their employees who are educated. ~Dieticians only make $18 with commission, which is rather low considering hospitals as options for employment. ~I don't necessarily mind being paid less than a dietician because this is a weight loss nutrition company, BUT I'm still an educated professional. Why am I getting paid 3 dollars less per hour? That's quite a descrepancy. (my bachelor's degree is in the health & wellness field). ~There's a lot to be expected out of the job despite being paid 15 an hour. You're expected to stay late past your shift which can mean 10-11 hour days. This wouldn't be bad if you were properly compensated, but it really stinks. It was hard to have time to spend with my significant other because he worked a "normal" job and I had to stay late all the time. It would interfere with any social plans I had. It's clear some of the consultants I worked with didn't want to stay late which means I had to stay late a lot. There isn't a system in place to really make this process more equal. ~Health insurance plan has a 6,000 deductible for a single person which is absolutely outrageous! They charge a lot for this plan too which is uncalled for. ~They don't offer any 401k company match. This is asking for employees to leave early. Another big complaint from many of us is not being able to properly use our degree. We have to consult on the "weight loss program" not on what our nutritional education tells us. This leads me to consulting on nutritional advice I personally don't agree with. If you say anything that "contradicts the program" you can get in trouble for it.
