Pros

Everything that Medidata is rumored for: great space and feel, good people that are dedicated, real mission and meaning.

Cons

There are some pockets of serious disfunction. Everything is so positive and safe that no one can easily express problems without being labeled a problem.

Thank you for your positive comments about Medidata’s space and feel; culture is everything to us! As our employees know, we live and breathe our mission and we believe it makes for dedicated and motivated workers. To address your point about not being able to express problems, we have an anonymous "Ask Exec" feature which allows employees to raise issues to executives, which gives us visibiilty into where we need to drill down. Managers who are struggling are given coaching and development opportunities, which may not be visible to others. The HR Business Partners work behind the scenes with these leaders and most recently we added several staff to our team to improve the coverage of HR to line management.

Pros

The company was fantastic when I first started working there, the culture was embracing and supportive. Folks seem to care about your development at first and your growth.

Cons

After 3ds bought the company it started going downhill gradually, many c suite turnover, terminations and new latest CEO is clueless when it comes to executing the vision, while also making sure they continue delivering on NEXT all on all these features when at launch half of them don’t even work properly. Having spent years at the company I saw clients lose trust on the products and leadership, a lot of times CEO’s from client side would give advice on senior management on processes which being the vendor we should be the leaders on guidance not the other way around. Consider applying to other SaaS companies.
