Pros

As a small agency there is opportunity for each individual to be involved at every level of client service from formulating strategy to delivery across a range of disciplines and platforms. That means staff are able to explore their own creativity, learn from others and share their own expertise. Client relationships sit at the heart of the agency - constantly exceeding expectations ensures regular positive feedback which is a bonus for job satisfaction! The atmosphere is professional but relaxed - there's always time for a chat over coffee but a deadline's a deadline and has to be met! The office is spacious and comfy and in a great location for transport links.

Cons

Opportunities for career progression within the agency were limited at senior level although sideways expansion of my role was encouraged and ideas for involvement in other activities welcomed.

Appreciate this feedback. Thank you. The comments about progression are fair comment. We have personal development plans in order for staff to flourish individually which is really important. If someone has a flair for something and we can accommodate it, we will.

Pros

As a freelancer, I've worked within and for lots of different marketing and PR agencies. I'm aware of what agencies can typically be like. Often very toxic, demanding environments for terrible pay. I've said 'never again!' to working with agencies before. But I couldn't say no to these ladies. Just professional and systematic enough that payment, invoicing and contracts happen with ease, but still personal enough to be able to say your real feelings around and have fun with. A rare gem. We worked on a very big client together, and I felt supported at all times. If I had a personal matter, Dawn completely understood. Amy and Karen were also very welcoming to me and I will miss working with them. I feel like I was pushed to do work at a great quality, and was never blamed or attacked if I made a mistake wrong. I've learned a lot about myself, my work and professionalism, friendliness, standards from working with Media Matters and will take that forward with me in my career! Most of all - they pay well and on time. Very happy.

Cons

Honestly, the hardest thing about working here has been working with Microsoft products when I'm used to Google!
