Pros

Decent pay and benefits, some very nice people if they let you get to know them.

Cons

If a recruiter reaches out to you and sells you on how great the leadership opportunity is at MedStar - BEWARE, DON'T MOVE, STAY WHERE YOU ARE. I was stupid enough and gullible enough to uproot from an amazing organization thinking I could make a bigger impact on healthcare by going to MedStar. Idiot mistake. MedStar makes lots of promises in the job description - you will be a big deal around here - and pumps up your value in the interview process - they give you the illusion of being allowed to make a difference. The truth is, only the top 3 people at MedStar are allowed to make a difference. Once you are hired, kiss your career goodbye, you might as well be tied up and locked in a basement.
