Pros

The robot is not bad. office well located.

Cons

Everything else. I have worked for big established companies and very small startups and mecademic has been my worst experience. Mecademic is a small startup with a conservative old fashioned hierarchical mentality. Usually startups are flexible and innovative and open minded. Not mecademic. The managers act like you owe them. Don't appreciate employees at all. They don't even know which employees do what, who accomplished good things, who brings in money and value. Some managers have little experience + make bad decisions, act like they know everything when they know nothing. Big egos, small results. Current employees don't get a decent pay raise. Plus its a boring office with bad energy in the company. Not good vibes. Don't work here.

Pros

Improvements needed in every level of the organization

Cons

As there are several issues within the company, it is best to break them down in categories: A) Bad Leadership: -Executive leadership and upper management exhibit closed-mindedness and resists embracing necessary changes for improvement. Their approach is rigid and resistant to change, which hampers any progress. -Given various internal politics at play it is becoming increasingly necessary to exercise caution when addressing real issues due to the unpredictable moods and attitudes of executive leadership towards staff. B) Disregard Towards Staff: -The majority of hard-working employees are not adequately appreciated, while favoritism is openly displayed towards others. Diversity has been slowly decreasing while senior titles and promotions are given to the traditional group. -Investment in ongoing education for employees is minimal or nonexistent. -Compensation and benefits provided are not on par with other companies operating in similar sectors. -From what I hear from friends who work at other companies that have real flexibility in terms of work-life balance and working hours, this place seems to disregard or not care for the well-being of its employees. C) Organizational and Business Issues: -The company suffers from a serious lack of communication and cross-collaboration, and this prevents real progress. -Company struggling to gain any significant market share.
