      Pros

      McCarthy's culture is nothing like anything I have ever seen before. We work hard, we celebrate wins, we treat each other with respect and have flexibility for partners to have a life and family balance. I have great pride in the buildings my partners build. I am amazed by the talent this group has and the hunger to be better every single day.

      Cons

      This isn't necessarily a con, but we are employee owned and it is very evident in the hard work our partners do. If you aren't a hard worker or a team player than McCarthy is not a fit and it is obvious from the beginning.

      Pros

      Great company culture, exposure to some amazing projects, project teams are fantastic, camaraderie with your team, great resources and onboarding to ensure you learn to do your job well. ESOP and bonuses are great.. if you stick it out long enough.

      Cons

      Pay is not as competitive as other GC's, you can be relatively underpaid as they rely too heavily on preaching about the ESOP (which takes you 5 years to even be fully vested). Can be very political and leadership kinda plays favorites, some people who dont deserve it get promoted quick and others who do deserve it never get promoted. Long work hours and depending on the jobsite it can be pretty high-stress (but thats just construction for ya).
