      Pros

      One of the best builders in the nation operationally. Also one of the safest due to an outstanding safety culture.

      Cons

      Upper management preaches about creating a great work life balance but this balance is impossible with the amount of hours that you work. Most of the folks that built the Southern California division into what it is today are no longer with the company either. The new wave of leadership is unproven and seems out of touch with their field staffs. Too much upper management. The number of VP's and Directors continues to grow, while experienced field staff continues to leave the company.

      Pros

      Great company culture, exposure to some amazing projects, project teams are fantastic, camaraderie with your team, great resources and onboarding to ensure you learn to do your job well. ESOP and bonuses are great.. if you stick it out long enough.

      Cons

      Pay is not as competitive as other GC's, you can be relatively underpaid as they rely too heavily on preaching about the ESOP (which takes you 5 years to even be fully vested). Can be very political and leadership kinda plays favorites, some people who dont deserve it get promoted quick and others who do deserve it never get promoted. Long work hours and depending on the jobsite it can be pretty high-stress (but thats just construction for ya).
