Pros

Middle management and entry level employees are strongly attempting to grow and teach while simultaneously keeping the work load manageable. Plenty of opportunities to grow so long as you are “liked”.

Cons

Big brother culture, lack of appropriate training, massive delays in receiving equipment (huge considering it’s a remote office), no strategy team creating multiple hats to be worn at all times between PM, creatives and client teams resulting in long work hours with strict restrictions to do things in only one way. Creatively stifling, no benefits and contractually obligated 10+ hour days with daily meetings and forced cameras on,

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We strive to provide a positive and supportive workplace culture and take the input that current and former employees provide seriously - so thank you. We are sorry to hear that you disliked your role and found it challenging to work in such a fast-paced environment. We understand that this may not be for all but your initial enthusiasm led us to believe that you would appreciate the training, learning and contributions needed in a hybrid work environment. We hoped that the discussions had throughout your time with us helped you to understand the missions and objectives of your position. Beginning in a new role with an organization in a time of rapid growth can be challenging, particularly in a hybrid and remote work environment. Keeping in mind these realities, the Company’s approach is intended to meet or exceed client, industry and legislative standards, whether that is allocating dedicated time for an extended Onboarding program, establishing standard team meeting times that allow for engagement, idea-sharing and posing questions, building relationships; and supporting team members as they work to create while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through paid vacation, sick days and other company initiatives. While our process to create, and perhaps our expectations to attend work in a relatively structured manner, did not align with your requirements, we do hope that during your tenure, you were able to gain knowledge and skills that build on your professional talents. Thank you again and best wishes on your future pursuits. Please contact us if you would like to provide further feedback and suggestions - my door and that of your former manager and colleagues is always open.

Pros

I really enjoyed my time at Mayk. The people are great to work with and the environment is supportive without being micromanaged. You’re trusted to take on projects, try new things, and figure things out as you go, which allowed me to learn snd grow. It can get busy, but everyone’s willing to help when you need it. Overall, a solid place to grow your skills and work with a team that genuinely cares.

Cons

You need good time management and ability to be flexible to succeed.

Pros

I really appreciate the autonomy and trust you get here. You can take the lead on meaningful projects, make a real impact and maintain a good work-life balance, which is tough in a client-driven environment. Leadership notices and values your contributions, and the team is collaborative and supportive. It’s a place where you can grow fast and take on responsibilities you might not get at a bigger company

Cons

If you have difficulty with effective prioritization of tasks and time management then the work can be a challenge.
