Pros

WFH easy to get in

Cons

Poor compensation for the workload. Managers and supervisors lie about everything all the time, that’s why many don’t make it. Them and other departments throw everything to CSR so they do everyone’s job since they’re entry level, and create false situations when someone knows and does the job cause want and need them to fail. They listen all conversations live, not for training (there’s a quality department for that) I don’t recommend anyone who calls provide important and personal information cause managers and supervisors spend the whole day listening without consumers authorization instead of solving essential issues that are part of their jobs, there’s no reason for that unless they get something from that information on expense of consumers privacy. They also lie and misguide employees about the processes so they get rid of them and play stupid when caught, the state apparently don’t care even when there are obvious violations against employees and consumers. The cherry on top is they promote like it’s a friends club, so it won’t get better anytime soon.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
