Pros
First it's sweet! The PROMISE of a true team environment, open door policy, bonuses, pay increase and growth opportunity is what you get. Everyone is so nice upon meeting them.
Cons
Then it's sour! Quota expectations are unrealistic in some circumstances. Many areas have been effected heavily by COVID-19 resulting in difficulties and delays with scheduling. Quota never changes. You can clear out your entire queue of cases and your quota never changes. You total cases can be less than your quota, quota never changes. However, if you don't meet your quota you are listed in red for the entire team to see daily. It doesn't matter if you called every Veteran or Facility listed, if you don't meet quota. If you come through a temp agency, you are promised increased pay once becoming a full time employee of VES. That never happens, you remain at basic, entry level pay. Certifications and Degrees mean nothing. There is no pay range. The only thing that made the pay better was the bonuses you can earn. But, that's been taken away with the buy out from Maximus. With COVID-19 most employees are sent home to work. Sounds great. No equipment is provided, no service (internet or phone) stipends. We are required to use our PERSONAL phones to make a receive BUSINESS calls. Pay is not increased to even accommodate cost of living. They expect mature, knowledgeable employees but offer a grocery store pay. Do they realize that a one bedroom apartment is Houston averages between $1200-$1300? That's less that one entire paycheck. Great advancement opportunities for the favored.
