Pros

1.You got a Paycheck 2.Some of the workers where very educated 3.That about it for pros not many at this dump

Cons

1. You felt like you where a number not and lees like a valued employee. 2. Management was very unprofessional and uneducated they most this management group had was a High School Degree 3. They monitored your bathroom breaks like you were in elementary school 4.Forget about promotions because if you have any college degree you’re a threat to management and they will not allow you to move up in this company. They rather have someone with a GED walking around as a team lead telling employees with Master Degrees to transfer the call to ARU because they lack the education to answer the questions coming from the public. 5.HR is a joke instead of HR sticking up for the 20 percent of college educated personal working at the Albany Call Center. They instead let uneducated management make decisions that affect employees lives. The last I checked there are know student loans that I would have to be paid back for a GED or High School Diploma. To HR Wake UP

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
