Pros

I love my case, have been on it for over 4 years now.

Cons

So many to list, where should I start? I have to pick up my nursing flow sheets at the office for my case, I am not compensated for this. Just 2 years ago, I got fed up about not being paid anything for yearly, mandatory education hours. All these requirements you need to keep your job, yet they were not willing to pay because "we cant bill the client for this". I called the Dept of Labor, and found out it was illegal, and we should get paid. In informing my office manager this info...he was not happy. He sarcastically said to me, "I thought you were a good nurse.", I simply told him I have every right to discuss with the Dept of Labor what wages I am, and am not, getting. So he then says to me, "So now I have to enter 15 mins of pay for 54 nurses!." Sorry dude, It's not my job you are not paying me and everyone else legally. Well then to find out....they only pay $7.70 for education hours. Not nearly my regular work rate by far. How this is legal, I have no idea. If anyone has any insight please let me know. I am considering again making an appt with the Dept of Labor and filing formal complaints. Then to also top it off, if you worked regular hours at 40, then 2 hrs of education. They do not give you OT on those education hours. Now these hours have to do with my job, which also means my license. It is just another way to not pay their nurses fairly. Oh! And I bet that their internal office staff gets their regular rate for education/meetings. And I am sure my office manager gets his full pay as well. Do not expect Yearly raises, or longevity bonuses. I have been with them for 5+ years and have never gotten a raise, or a bonus. I really do not want a lunchbag, or a pen. What I want is to be compensated for the care that I give to every client. Why? Because without us nurses, Maxim Execs would not be getting their bonuses!!! No 401k, no vacation or sick hours.

Cons

1. High stress / constant urgency * Healthcare staffing often means call-outs, last-minute schedule changes, unhappy families, and scrambling to fill shifts. 2. Heavy phone and email volume * Much of the day can be reactive rather than proactive. 3. Limited flexibility * Often requires strict office hours (commonly 8–5), which can be hard when balancing kids and school pickup schedules. 4. Emotional burnout * Working with patients, families, and caregivers can become emotionally draining over time. 5. Staffing shortages = pressure * If nurses/caregivers call off, coordinators are often responsible for solving the issue immediately. 6. Can feel repetitive * Scheduling, documentation, follow-up calls, and compliance tasks can become routine. 7. Compensation may not match stress level * Depending on market/location, pay can sometimes feel low compared with workload.
