Pros

Good Starting Pay 401K Build Customer Service skills Will train with no experience If you have a drug problem or just got out of jail and no drivers license this is the job for you!

Cons

Long hours 52+hours a week Managers Salary NO RAISES! (Other managers make more) Bonus Structure OK till you do good one week following week most likely no bonus cause payroll is higher they gotta get back what they paid you from week before Inconsistent Pay Thursday is a 12 1/2 hour shift All work No Reward Long hour work week takes a toll after so many years Overworked Don’t call out your not aloud they ask why even if it’s personal or family emergency ( unless you contact hr they are very nice if you get ahold of them that is) Lied to about Covid protocol rules had Covid was told to go to work by rtm and not tell anyone so they didn’t have to shutdown the store. Beware of your surroundings Micro Managed to the fullest cameras and microphones not just for your safety and shop safety but to make sure your shirt is tucked in that kind of micro managed!! No vacations November -January )Blackout period) So if you have kids not the job for you Health Benefits are horrible why bother You depend on quality shop help to earn your paycheck if the help isn’t good it’s very stressful. You get written up for not having enough Mavis Credit Cards Constantly an all day annoyance how many Mavis cards do you have ask every customer!!! Don’t believe the google reviews all the customers that put 5 stars For the stores is cause they got something for free or the manager did it for them.

Pros

It’s fun to work with the customers and learn about different Tires, learning to recognize quality product over junk and being able to communicate same to customers.

Cons

There could be a significant amount of Micro-Management They may promote people with much less experience over others who have been there awhile People who are relatively inexperienced may “Coach” people w/ much MORE experience. A “Trainer” may train the same person who trained them. You may work here awhile and earn the same base pay as someone starting tomorrow. They may tell you to do something one way, 2 weeks later tell you to do it another way and in the 3rd week tell you to go back to the original way. They may want you to follow an established set of guidelines until otherwise. They may use their telephone system to filter calls from more affluent areas to certain individuals and less affluent areas to other individuals.
