Pros
Fun customer interactions, discounts on top of discounts. Incentives (gifts -water bottles, food that kind of thing) for meeting goals. Fun part time job for college students. You get to look at pretty things all day. Being able to genuinely help someone who truly appreciates it really makes you feel good.
Cons
Too much pressure to sell. Customers think it's commission based because of how on top of them associates can be. Some people like shopping in peace. You can be scheduled 5 days but only work 20 hours. Not a job you can live on as an adult. You can get as little as 5 hours an entire week. Let's not talk about "management". Make no more than the sales associate. Late nights doing POV after store hours (if you're scheduled). Pressure to sign up credit cards & whatever programs they are trying out.
