Cons
- No opportunities for advancement. Matrikon has a very flat management structure. Moves are either lateral or just an increase in responsibility with no additional pay. - You will be treated as expendable and have no bargaining power. There are 8000 more where you came from. - A popular phrase at Matrikon "You will never be able to do what you do here at any other company" is 100% false. Not only will leaving Matrikon expand your horizons it will improve your morale. - You will be asked to accept a salary freeze while senior management is granted bonuses for frugality. - If you work very hard and are there longer than a year your reward will be a lay off as soon as Matrikon hits a now-regular down period.
