Pros
- comission When the market was good and the software worked I would make a lot of money. This company makes the shopping experience very easy for the customer. It is all over the phone and you can shop with multiple different insurance carriers at a time. - start up mind set - good experience for people who are new to the world of insurance.
Cons
Management neglects their employees' needs. They use software that is meant to help the sales team and make sales easier so we can pump out more leads and sales. This sounds great on paper but instead it does the exact opposite. When I started at Matic, conversations on the phone used to be 10-15 min. I used to get a high bonus commission every month. Now thanks to the new software nothing works and it now takes double the time to get one quote. Now what does the management team do? Fix the issues? Replace the software? Change the bonus structure (like how they did last year when we were producing more sales on average so they had to raise the bar higher so less people could get a better commission)?....... NO The team responsible for this takes no credibility. We are in a harsh market right now for insurance. Everyone is struggling in the insurance world. But as a company that I used to love and be excited to come to work every day I now feel betrayed. Not a single thing has been done to help the sales team after 2 months of having terrible software issues. What does the upper management think to do? Tell us they are more interested in looking like a profitable company to investors! Instead of actually helping their workers who can't afford to live off base salary. I really used to love working here so take my advice don't come here you will not last long.
