Free snacks. Overhyped culture. No benefits. - Anonymous employee Matchfire Co Employee Review

Pros

Free snacks, dog-friendly offices, lenient dress code, parties during working hours, frequent team-building activities and games, stylish offices with trendy decor, lax hours when workload is light. I recommend working here as an unpaid intern. It’s fun and at that level the drama will likely not reach you.

Cons

No healthcare or benefits. Hourly rates/salaries are not competitive. Aggressively catty culture. The three offices openly do not get along so work between offices is disjointed and tense. Leadership disagrees about finances and complains about each other to subordinates. Minimal career development opportunities depending on position. Projects consistently go over budget and time. Employee turnover rates are remarkably high.

Pros

Projects that come through are always interesting and there are never two alike, keeping the workload fun and fresh, with room to always learn. The flexibility we are offered is great. We can work remote/from home if we need. Vacation and sick time policy is top notch. The company culture is positive, fun, fresh, and ever evolving. There is always room to learn more. Matchfire encourages a healthy work/life balance.

Cons

While there is always room to learn more, and room to grow in most instances, not every position has room to grow. Not really a con, just the reality of the business.
