Marrakech Response
2yWe are so sorry to hear you felt you had to leave your employment at Marrakech and that you did so with a negative impression of the organization after working here for more than 5 years. We are very proud of the fact that to date in the current fiscal year, 76.19% of our promotional opportunities have been filled by internal applicants, which is already higher than last year's 70.73%. We also just created a new Talent & Engagement Specialist position to specifically work with our internal staff on their career paths and professional development here. This is very important to us. And just to clarify the internal hiring process, while Human Resources processes internal applications, it is the hiring managers at the various sites who make all hiring recommendations. Finally, as you know from your abuse and neglect training, stealing from the individuals is considered financial exploitation and falls under the mandatory reporting rules to the Abuse Investigations Division (AID - if this was a person funded by the Department of Developmental Services), or at the very least, to our Risk Management department so we can report and investigate it. If you believe someone here at Marrakech is or was previously stealing money or items from a person we support, please call (203) 389-2970, ext. 1080 to speak to someone in our Risk Management department or, if it was a DDS-funded individual, you can call AID directly at 1-844-878-8923. We wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.
