Honestly, the only pros are the individuals we provide service to

The pay is terrible for most workers, while upper leadership gets raises every year, search up "marrakech inc. form 990". The work load is ridiculous. Favoritism is rampant. This used to be a company with heart, now it's just empty words.

Thank you for your 10+ years of service! We are proud that our employees stay longer on average at Marrakech than most other human service organizations. We know the people we support are the primary reason for that, so we understand why they are the pro you listed about working here. In addition to the wonderful and inspiring people we support being the main reason we stay, Marrakech is proud to offer training and career advancement to all of our employees. You will note that 100% of upper management employees have started in entry level positions or close to that, and have double digit years, if not decades of experience. We feel fortunate that despite the lower wages that nonprofit human service providers are able to provide, our employees are dedicated professionals. We are transparent about the fact that our employees, including our direct service professionals, have been habitually underpaid and we have been fierce advocates with our legislators about this. We have been making progress with some funders over the recent years. We use program budgets, job duties, consultants, comparison salary surveys, and funding to determine salaries and benefits for our employees. As you know we recently provided all eligible employees with a 6% contribution to their 401(k) accounts. We most likely cannot make you change the way you feel about the salaries of "upper management", however please be assured that our employees in all positions are paid as competitively as possible. Finally, we are sorry that you feel that there is favoritism and encourage you to contact a member of our HR Team, our CAO, or CEO if you would like to discuss your career goals or aspirations, and/or what actions we are taking that have led you to feel this way. We have improved our policies and procedures over the years based on feedback we collect from all of our constituents and would value yours as well.
