Pros

- Decent snacks in the kitchen - Lunch once a month - Nice people with good intentions - Easy to keep a job and coast because they don't discipline

Cons

- The best way I can describe Marq is a dog chasing its own tail. Every other week, there is an "aha" idea from the exec team that shifts our work. We never had this issue when we were part of Lucid. It disrupts the sprint I'm working on and makes building new projects as an engineering org difficult. Part of me wishes I was back on the LucidChart engineering team at Lucid. - This is a 50-person startup, there is no reason to have an executive team of 12 people. We're entirely too top-heavy, and we have leaders who are in meetings all day and don't do any work. - There were layoffs in Oct 2022 and the executive team brushed it under the rug and expected everyone to get back to work like nothing had happened. It didn't impact the engineering org at all, which was good for my job, but how the CEO acted afterward seemed a little tone-deaf. He expected everyone to bounce back like nothing had happened. I felt bad for our sales team, who got gutted. - I don't know that we have the right leaders in place across the company. Some leaders seem capable and strategic, but others seem like they're out of their league. I think the CEO likes to surround himself with people that agree with him, rather than challenge him.

Pros

Management is very transparent with what the executive team is thinking about / working on.

Cons

Overall pretty good. We've had a lot less layoffs than other companies locally.
