Pros

some flexibility due to being fully remote, but work days/ hours influenced by scheduled meetings or programs worked, laptop is provided and technology stipend helps cover Internet/ headset/ etc., company works hard to make things fun

Cons

unpredictable in terms of how many hours you will be offered month to month and which programs you will be assigned to - some programs VERY successful and profitable and other flat out stink - very difficult to budget expected income, culture is very challenging - promoted as inclusive and welcoming but many very tenured employees who "think alike" and if you don't join the group think and drink the kool-aid, you will not be welcomed or successful

First, I want to thank you for taking the time to provide a review and share your feedback. I am sorry that your experience at Marketlauncher did not translate to a five-star review. Given the nature of our business, sales development, there will always be some programs where it will be easier to achieve the goals and some where it is more difficult. We really do try to balance those assignments across team members as well as try to match skills and experience to an account's subject matter. We want all team members to be successful, for their sake and the sake of the company and our clients. For some of our more tenured team members, it's the challenging accounts that can ultimately turn out to be the most rewarding. Once we "crack the code" it turns into a win for all parties. This perseverance drives our reputation. But we do understand it can be challenging and sometimes frustrating when you are in the throes of it. Improvement and commitment are two of our company's core values and we strive to create a culture of learning. I know it can be hard to walk into an environment where more than half the team have worked together for a decade or more. As a leader, I really do try to be conscious of the potential pitfalls and put into place initiatives to make sure new ideas are welcomed and recognized. I am sorry that was not your experience during your tenure with us and our leadership will continue our commitment to finding ways to give new ideas fresh air. If you would like to share more about your experiences, please contact me by emailing ltriozzi@marketlauncher.com so that we can set up a time to talk. Thank you again for the feedback and best of luck in your future endeavors. Lara Triozzi CEO and Founder Marketlauncher

Pros

A few genuinely nice folks to interact with daily. The monthly office allowance is great if you're an employee.

Cons

No training at all aside from homegrown documentation with no version kept scattered all over the network. When you start you're told to reach out to people to obtain your own training and onboarding into your new position and given a list of first names with no titles or contact info. Lots of last minute must-do projects pop up once you're on your own and if you're a part timer with an hours cap that pressures you to work and not claim the time. Management turnover is very high. I had 4 or 5 managers in just over a year and a half. Unfortunately the director who takes over during the frequent vacancies is very difficult to work for and with. Personal issues preside. Working at ML is much more emotion-based than logic or process-driven. Pressure to have company email on your smartphone as a part time employee with flexible hours is strong. Contractors wait months for payment and there are frequent payroll hiccups for employees as well. Being able to work from home is touted as the be-all end-all attraction to ML but quite frankly that's just not new any longer or tough to find. My background is working for corporations with global business models and documented process and procedures. This is so NOT that--if you're looking for a position where you are rewarded for your contributions with fact-based performance ratings keep up your job search.
