Pros
Marketcast offers a huge variety of different and challenging work for data scientists, spanning from traditional market research analysis to using new ML tools based on LLMs and computer vision to solve complex client problems. Theres an extremely friendly atmosphere and everyone in the data science team is incredibly supportive and helpful. Promotions are both frequent and very clearly based on merit, while pay rises are consistently above the industry average.
Cons
Marketcast has grown through acquisition, and there are a lot of holdovers from previous entities amalgamated into the company. This creates some friction, and there are some peculiar legacy practices, but in some ways this is a positive as it provides a lot of room for improving practice in the future.
