Pros
- Great compensation & benefits - Nice building, free parking, you get your own office - You get a lot of responsibility early on and pretty much have autonomy over your day - You touch many parts of the direct mail process (creative, strategy, and data) - Depending on your supervisor, you have the potential to learn a lot. I had a very enriching learning experience thanks to my supervisor. - They attempt to develop a good company culture with luncheons and training. - Very diverse workplace to be a small company.
Cons
- No work/life balance. Supervisors expect you to stay as late as they do no matter how early you come in. Everyone has to work between certain hours. Time off/leaving at a decent time isn't really respected. - Can be a stressful environment at times. There were a couple of nights were my team was in the office well past midnight. - No clear career growth opportunities - High turnover rate for a small company - Growing/changing company that's still learning the ropes and figuring out what works - Workloads may be uneven. There are some people who come in and leave at 5, while others are there until nighttime. - Responsibilities between departments are not always clear.
