Marico is losing its edge. It is present in categories (including hair nourishment) that are not doing well. The top leadership is clueless on how to navigate through this new challenge. All new product launches and attempts to enter into new categories have failed miserably, The organization that took pride in collaboration and drove excellence through innovation has become risk averse. The top leadership, rather than trying to introspect, start looking for a fall guy to blame its failures. These people, empowered to enable careers, are acting with impunity and destroying many of them. The HR is almost powerless and inconsequential in all of it.
