Pros
MariaDB has a great overall culture - European sensibility at the core, now with a dash of American Silicon Valley growth attitude. The company allows for remote and distributed working, but also has office hubs and locations as well. The calibre of the people are awesome, with lots of experienced engineers and amazing support people on the one side; and unlike many startups a very strong sales organisation and marketing support. There's also good community recognition, strong adoption and growth, and a sense that you're in a company that will enable you to grow with as well. Overall, super happy with the environment, people, and product and highly recommend!
Cons
A bit too many silos for a startup, including communications movement: the company could work to remove these barriers and facilitate more transparent and free communication between teams.
