Pros

Teammates on the ground floor. Collaboration. Compassionate.

Cons

No feedback for growth for several months while owners attempted to start new company out of town. Rapid BCBA turnover leads to learner programs being disorganized and does not contribute to client learning. Low pay, lack of support from leadership, and unmet promises leads to BCBAs rapidly leaving the company. Training is not implemented quickly enough and they recently fired several people with no training or feedback leading up to their terminations, and no cause given. This led to a rapid morale decrease, several RBTs and BCBAs leaving, and left a culture of fear in its wake. Scheduling is often a disaster. Families are not held to a standard for pickup and drop off time, leaving RBTs short on hours.

Pros

Everyone at Maraca is warm and welcoming. You feel like a part of a team and community. Everyone is there to better the lives of the learners and you feel that positive energy surrounding you at the center and in your day-to-day. There's an eagerness to learn, thrive and challenge yourself. Ample support whether you're in ops or clinical.

Cons

There's only one location right now!

Pros

Lots of training, Plenty of natural light

Cons

Center is overcrowded, reporting structure is poor, HR is off site, schedules change hourly, all other employees are reporting on you and management will take action without asking you, I was hired for 22.50/hr but that only counts for clinical hours. 85% of hours were paid at $15/he. Was offered medical benefits as part of employment, then told they aren’t available until I consistent reach 30 BILLABLE hours per week. They hired way too many RBT’s and didn’t have hours to go around.
