Pros

The technology is genuinely innovative and the product vision is strong

Cons

I worked as a Senior Project Manager for Mapsted, and initially joined the company because the technology is genuinely innovative and the product vision was strong. There were many capable and intelligent people working there, and the engineering challenge was interesting. However, my overall experience was significantly impacted by serious concerns around organisational stability and business execution. During my time there, I experienced unacceptable delays relating to contractor payments, and ultimately the working relationship ended in a way that raised concerns about financial and operational consistency. While I cannot comment on internal financial decision-making, from my perspective as a senior delivery lead working closely with the business, the environment became increasingly unpredictable and difficult to rely on in terms of payment processing for staff. Because of this, I would be cautious about recommending the company as a place to work, particularly for contractors or employees relying on consistent payment cycles. That said, the people I worked with directly were professional and committed, and the underlying product remains technically strong.
