Pros

Challenging and Interesting work. Talented colleagues

Cons

Salary delays, poor communication, weak employee support during layoffs, delayed settlements, and very low job security. Would not recommend joining this company. Over the past few months, a significant number of employees, including core team members who helped build the company from the ground up, were laid off. The layoffs were handled with very little transparency, leaving employees uncertain about their future until the last moment. Many employees experienced salary delays of 3–4 months. During this period, repeated explanations related to banking or payment issues were provided, yet salaries remained unpaid for extended periods. Most of the employees were eventually laid off while salary dues were still pending. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of communication from leadership during these critical situations. Leadership was often quick to reach out directly to employees when urgent work issues needed attention, including outside normal working hours. However, the same level of communication and accountability was noticeably absent when employees were seeking updates on delayed salaries, layoffs, and pending settlements. The HR and employee support processes appeared weak and inconsistent. Employees were frequently left without clear timelines or meaningful updates regarding salary payments, layoffs, and full-and-final settlements

Pros

The technology is genuinely innovative and the product vision is strong

Cons

I worked as a Senior Project Manager for Mapsted, and initially joined the company because the technology is genuinely innovative and the product vision was strong. There were many capable and intelligent people working there, and the engineering challenge was interesting. However, my overall experience was significantly impacted by serious concerns around organisational stability and business execution. During my time there, I experienced unacceptable delays relating to contractor payments, and ultimately the working relationship ended in a way that raised concerns about financial and operational consistency. While I cannot comment on internal financial decision-making, from my perspective as a senior delivery lead working closely with the business, the environment became increasingly unpredictable and difficult to rely on in terms of payment processing for staff. Because of this, I would be cautious about recommending the company as a place to work, particularly for contractors or employees relying on consistent payment cycles. That said, the people I worked with directly were professional and committed, and the underlying product remains technically strong.
