Pros

Mapleton has some really good people working for them. The CEO is very Pro Radio and has some great ideas. He is also a big believer in live shows which is rare in this time of "bottom line" thinking. He understands the power of live DJ's.

Cons

Mapleton does not do a good job of vetting job candidates and ends up with some very incompetent, complacent employees. They are very understaffed and tend to work the good people to death. They are also known for underpaying as compared to other companies in the same industry. You really do get what you pay for! The benefits are as bad as I've ever seen. The CEO firmly believes that no idea is a good idea unless he thought of it. Employees have no input on how to improve the culture or bottom line. '

Pros

This company is growing and flourishing, The CEO jim Shea is a radio guru and I learned so much about sales from him. I would still work for mapleton if I hadn't walked away .When I left they were taking about updating the equipment and expanding into other media forms

Cons

In dire need of hard working salespeople who want to make money . Some of the salespeople are too complacent about their job. The more you sell the more you make. There are a few salespeople that are lazy and waste their day without making sales and then they complain about their earnings?

Pros

Stations are pretty good but very indicated. Some good employees in the Redding office. They're good at ignoring big problems and covering up their dirty laundry.

Cons

Outdated equipment, no follow through on what they promise clients. Hiring is largely based on looks more than job performance. Chico is like an office full of barbie dolls that the former market manager hired to boost his self esteem but jokes on him because now he's gone too and its run by the laziest barbie of them all. This company is the joke of all the companies in the area. They fire people that make them money and hire people that just collect paychecks and sit at home all day.
