Pros

Fellow staff, students and general environment. Mansfield Hall has always focused on inclusivity and developing appropriate procedures, policies and cultures to support this. Mansfield Hall is a great place to be if you have a desire to learn and to contribute to the lives of others. There's always opportunities for professional development and various trainings which is fantastic to have access to. Additionally, being able to be a positive contributor to a students college journey is really fulfilling.

Cons

Mansfield Hall could be more challenging for those who have difficulty taking initiative or who value a slower paced environment. People who are less flexible might also find the work flow a challenge - working with students with various learning differences is by no means linear.

Pros

-Heartfelt work culture based on care for one another and the wonderful students! -Transparent, encouraging, and approachable upper management. -Reasonable pay and perks for an entry level part-time position. -Holistic approach to student and staff development and wellbeing. -Potential to go on fun trips with the students such as hiking, ice cream, bike rides, and most other activities you can think of!

Cons

-It is easy to "pretend" to work on your laptop, and no one calls you out for it. Substitute Community Engagement Coaches don't have much required work, so you need to figure out how to keep busy. -There is less socioeconomic diversity than many other human service positions because Mansfield Hall is an expensive privately funded program.
