Pros
The remaining team consists of awesome people whom are all very prominent and creative game testers.
Cons
The management does not understand first thing about testing. The management does not respect the employees in the least. Because of the incompetent management 53 people were cut at the same time, whom we hired less than 6 months before. During the three years the office was working with outstanding performance, the company was not able to bring even one other costumer, leading to the loss of about 2/3 of our workforce. Promotion is on a "need to" basis, if a customer requests someone with higher seniority they give the illusion that you deserve it and promote the position inside the company and you may get it, however when someone truly deserves to be promoted, well good luck, "we don't have the resources so sorry". I don't posses the exact numbers but the mother company likely takes about 50% of a testers original "price", the Hungarian "leadership" another 25% I'm guessing and you will be left with a paycheck that is about half of the market minimum average. Management tricked the first 60 employees with a smart little move - Job offer on top listing a months bonus every year, under the offer the actual contract not containing any info about the bonus. A year goes by and during the all staff meeting we start to complain about the missing bonus, while management pulls the classic no resources move. A few months later they made a new system, employees that been there for a year receive a monthly gross raise of 30.000 HUF (about 20.000 HUF net) that will be further raised after 2 years at the company for the gross of 60.000 HUF. Three months back this was taken from all employees again with the classic sorry no resources story. We did not have the bonus written in our contracts so no way to fight it. Other than that during the 3 years of the site no pay raise was given to anyone, no pay corrections were made. There was a two month period where we onboarded about 20 employees with one PC because management was yet again incompetent and new employees were left without any devices to test or work on. The list goes on but you get the gist. If you want to be respected and paid at least the minimum of what you deserve, don't even think about working here, if you want to work with awesome people, do.
