Work environment - Editorial Associate Mango Publishing Employee Review

If you are not part of the “in-group” it is a very difficult place to work. Very clicky and a lot of talking behind colleagues backs on slack and amongst the insiders. A very condescending attitude (coming from the top) attitude towards other publishers and agents. Also very narrow thinking around new ideas and opportunities if they don’t completely jive with the thinking of the powers that be. Communication from management is lacking which (especially) puts freelancers/independent contractors at a huge disadvantage in terms of personal success and compensation.
