      Pros

      Understanding management, can negotiate shifts unlike the shop assistants, leave usually granted to college students for exam periods. Quiet atmosphere, time goes by quickly because there's always work to do. Excellent culture in the Blanchardstown location.

      Cons

      A lot of manual handling involved, required to work some bank holidays and required to work weekends. Sunday is only 1.5x time rather than 1.5x pay. Not a lot of room for growth or internal promotion opportunities, assistant managers or supervisors usually hired externally.

      Competitive pay range, ability to be promoted quickly

      Cons

      Unprofessional management from district manager level up to regional team. No support in achieving business metrics. Unachievable sales targets, based on no market research. No accountability from anyone. All blame for store business is put onto store manager.
