      Pros

      Mako works with a very flat leadership structure, very easy to communicate with Head of Global Trading, CEO and CFO are very easy accessible, company has a great bonus structure and gives competitive draws as salaries. very much a no nonsense, do your job and lets have a beer after environment which seems to get the best out of its people.

      Cons

      The company's trading systems are slightly outdated and are up for a complete make-over to stay competitive in the ever changing market of derivatives

      The OA was not too difficult.

      Cons

      They rejected me after the first round, where I scored 33/37, justifying it as the fact that they don't sponsor UK visas for interns. This could have easily been clarfied by outright rejection based on the same reason rather than letting the candidate prepare for OA, giving it, and then rejecting based on a pre-known fact. Extremely disappointed.
